We stayed at Lakeview Resort in Wasaga Beach, Ontario, in August 2026, and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, well-maintained, and welcoming the resort was. The property is clearly cared for, with the rooms and facilities kept in very good repair, making it a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a beach vacation.
We stayed in a pool-view room with two beds and a small kitchen, which suited us perfectly. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and having a kitchen was a great convenience. It allowed us to prepare breakfast, snacks, and meals whenever we wanted, rather than having to eat out for every meal.
One of the highlights of our stay was the great pool. It was clean and well maintained and provided a wonderful place to cool off and relax after spending time at the beach. The pool-view room also made it particularly enjoyable to be able to look out and see the pool area.
Another feature we really appreciated was the availability of three BBQs for guests to use. We took full advantage of them and used the BBQs every day during our stay. It was a terrific amenity and added to the relaxed vacation atmosphere. Being able to enjoy a BBQ meal and then sit back and relax made our stay feel much more like a true getaway.
The customer service was also excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our visit. Their pleasant attitude contributed to the overall experience and made us feel comfortable and well looked after.
Perhaps the most memorable feature of Lakeview Resort was the raised patio and its incredible view. It provides an ideal vantage point overlooking the beach and the beautiful waters of Georgian Bay. It was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the scenery, particularly in the evening. Watching the sunset over Georgian Bay from the patio was a highlight of our stay and created some beautiful memories.
The resort is also ideally located for exploring the history of Wasaga Beach. It is only about a five-minute walk from Nancy Island Historical Site, an important local attraction and the site associated with a War of 1812 battle. We would definitely recommend making a visit there while staying in Wasaga Beach. It is an interesting piece of Canadian history and, in our opinion, a must-see attraction during a visit to the area.
Overall, our August 2026 stay at Lakeview Resort was an excellent experience. Clean and well-maintained accommodations, a great pool, convenient BBQ facilities, friendly customer service, and an outstanding beach and Georgian Bay view all contributed to a very enjoyable vacation.
We would happily return to Lakeview Resort and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and well-located place to stay in Wasaga Beach. And be sure to take some time to enjoy that raised patio at sunset — it is a beautiful way to end the day!
